James Anderssen

an award winning country music artist. James has a deep, soulful voice combined with a profound and moving songwriting ability. After releasing his debut EP, Bulldust Ballet, in February 2008, James has received invitations to showcase his talent at the Broxburn Bash, Levuka and the Kicks FM Country Music Tour.

The highly anticipated release, gave an exciting glimpse into James’ influences and what he has to offer. From the title track Bulldust Ballet to honky-tonk roots in Fatal Attraction and finally showcasing a much softer side in Blue Eyed Angel (dedicated to his wife and mother of his two children).

In 2005 James was accepted on application and graduated from the CMAA Australian College of Country Music. The College itself is a professional development course conducted by the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) in Tamworth each year. Industry professionals give their time for the benefit of the 21 participants selected. Hundreds of applications are received each year and only 10 are selected.

Since graduating from the College, James has been a Grand Finalist in the prestigious Toyota Star Maker quest in 2005 and again in 2006. He has worked alongside many country music professionals such as Becky Cole, Adam Harvey and Brendon Walmsley and has backed this up with shows such as the Katherine Country Music Muster, the Toyota National Country Music Muster in 2005 and 2006, Boots ‘n Bush and the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers (in his hometown) to name just a few.
